We offer wide-ranging support via a number of facilities including an IT service desk which makes use of an advanced call logging system, support for classrooms and the technology in them, social media support and support in the computing labs across campus. Our philosophy is to do more than simply support you; we want to empower you to help yourself and show you the best ways of handling problems and requests as they arise. We are more than just a helpdesk and we are willing to take on any challenge you bring to us that our infrastructure will allow us to investigate.

The IT service desk

The IT Service desk assists the UCT community to remedy any ICT issues they experience

The ServiceNow Customer View allows UCT staff members to log support calls, place orders and manage their ICT requests

The Front office provides a walk-in service to staff, students and third parties

The Classroom Support Services team (CSS) provides assistance for the technology in centrally-bookable classrooms

ICTS is contracted to provide support to students and lecturers in most computing labs on campus
